Emily lives in Rogers Park, a vibrant northside Chicago neighborhood, with her family and cat. She enjoys her work in the field of early childhood alongside keeping up a creative practice. Trained as a painter, she enjoys the process of working with colors, visual relationships, and surface textures. Recent projects have involved both illustrations and low-tech print designs made specifically for functional papergoods–postcards, cards, and stationary sets. She enjoys the tangibility of working with paper and printing materials, the experience of playing with colors, and the inherent possibility of connection within the act of letter-writing.
